Description
Austin A70 Hereford,
Once on TV on a Henry Cole Programme.
It has had a rebuilt/ refurbished chassis, I don't know the details but the brakes worked when I got it and probably still do. Rebuilt engine. Ths a This is a functional car apart from one fault. It only starts if you pour petrol into the carburettor. A rare and lovely classic car for a straightforward restoration. Said to have had a a rebuilt engine and chassis when I purchased it. The brakes were working when I got it and I could see new brake hoses. Once started it runs really well and drives. Lovely smooth clutch. Has a pair of new number plates. Not terribly rusty, mainly doors and D posts. Windows open and close, dials and switches work. Still has the original cover on the fusebox. Was in a Henry Cole TV programme.
No spare wheel.
Bargain car, if you can get it to run you're on to a winner.
V5 includedKnown history from new. Very cheap classic car with rebuilt engine, brakes etc and almost functional. Easy to work on and stylish.
Ideal winter project.
