Description
Vespa 400 series 1 manufactured in 1958, registered in UK 01/ 04/ 2024 with V5 in my name. 3 forward gears + reverse, 2 stroke 400cc twin rear engine rear wheel drive. Starts, runs and drives, would benefit from a series 2 carburetor as the original series 1 carburetor that is currently fitted is known to be temperamental. Points cleaned, timing set, ignition coils replaced, HT leads and spark plugs replaced, clutch release carbon ring replaced and a replacement stone tray has been fitted. New fuel lines and fuel compensator fitted along with a 12v fuel solenoid. New battery, new voltage regulator and a refurbished dynamo have been fitted for reliability. The brakes have been recommissioned including new flexible hoses, rear rigid lines and fresh fluid. New tyres all round including the spare, all control cables replaced including choke, starter, accelerator, clutch & hand brake. All electrical components have been checked/ serviced where necessary and a battery isolator fitted in the cab. The drive donuts have been relaced along with transmission to body seal, gearbox to body seal, sun roof seal & window seals. The paint has been cleaned/ polished and is very presentable. The interior has been repaired to retain the original interior fabric, further improvements can be made here by the next owner. Replacement door check straps & fitting plates along with replacement sun visors have been fitted and a new interior light lens to finish off. The sun roof has all of its components present and is in very good order. 2 x ignition keys, 2 door lock keys & 2 battery isolator keys present. There is a jack, wheel brace handle and bag present but is not original. There is a wallet of receipts/ history and the user/ spares manual.
