Here for sale I have my Yamaha SR500 in absolutely impeccable original condition. The bike is a US import, declared manufactured in 1987. I have the full V5 in my name, and some historic MOT certificates. The bike was dry stored for many years, and I have owned it for the last 2 years, in which it has been stored in my garage, and never seen a wet or rainy day. All of the chrome and original paint work is in beautiful condition, there are some scratches on the headlight housing, as can be expected of a bike of its age.
I have done an oil change, new spark plug, and fitted a new battery. I have also fitted a new old stock genuine Yamaha flywheel and pickup coil. I will put the bike through an MOT when someone wishes to buy it, so it can be sold with a full 12 months MOT. It will be tax and MOT exempt in 2028. The bike starts easy and runs well. You will not find another Yamaha SR500 in such impressive condition. As you can see from the photographs, this is the model with sought after spoked wheels, and iconic front drum brake. The dark blue paint work, is in my opinion the most classic Yamaha SR500 paint scheme. I'm sure if you are looking you will know all about this timeless machine.
