1997 Ducati 916, in fantastic condition and in the best colour this bike is an absolute gem.
It is an original factory built Monoposto, a Japanese spec bike which came with the steel rear subframe from the factory, totally original condition no paint or repairs with 2 owners from new (including myself).
I have owned the bike for almost 9 years and maintained it in pristine condition as part of my collection.
Supplied to me by Fastline superbikes in December 2015 where a new MPH speedo was fitted and the correct mileage applied (I have the original Kph speedo to validate).
It has never been used in rain or wet conditions and only covered roughly 200 miles in the last 9 years mostly to and from my MOT centre each year so never been used in the rain, all metalwork fixings and fasteners are in great condition.
It currently has a Ducati Corsa carbon fibre air box fitted but I also have the original which is in great condition that will come with the bike.
It has has Termignoni exhausts fitted, these I believe were fitted from new by the Ducati dealer as suggested to me by the factory in Bologna and I have original Termi DB killers to go with them.
The bike is in perfect running order and was serviced earlier this year with belts and valve clearances checked oils and filters changed. I can get a new MOT if required.
The bike has a very interesting history from new to current date, I have model details and even the original build ticket that was on the handlebar when it went through the factory assembly process.
I have print outs of all the correspondence with the Ducati factory engineering dept and a historic summary for the bike. I searched for a really nice 916 for many years before buying this bike, it is extremely difficult to find an original bike with untarnished engine cases and metalwork particularly in the UK/ EU as we all use road salt in winter time.
Its been kept in a heated garage along with 7 other bikes in my collection for 9 years but now I am selling some of the bikes due to a house move and have decided to put this immaculate 916 up for sale.
