Description
This is Dev2 built for the Rover Special Products Adder project. It is one of 2 remaining RV8 development cars from the 4 built and is well documented in David Knowles books on V8 MGs.
5 speed gearbox, uprated suspension and brakes, Quaife lsd, anti tramp bars, roll over bar and many other features.
Recently, the car has had fitted modern fuel hoses, new tramp bars, reconditioned radiator and starter motor and new battery. Although MOT exempt, it has an MOT until October 2025. The vehicle has been used mainly for special occasions and shows and always garaged. This car is part of MG history. Only 4 MGB V8 roadsters were built and only 2 were sold. The other being in The Netherlands. The vehicle had a donor car, a 1998 GT and is classified as historic. However, it has a heritage shell, an engine previously destined to go in Morgan Plus 8 and an LT77 gearbox. It had been virtually unused when I bought it to join my B GT, MGC, and mk1 MGB roadster.
