Excellent driver, starts every time (with choke of course!)
I've owned it since 2011 and it's had lots of mechanical work to get it to its best. That Dart engine has some proper poke and for me this car beats the Jag MkII equivalent.
Had a back to metal respray in 2020 in opalescent silver grey. Really solid example - though boot needs a tidy as there is a little rust in there and it was not part of the respray.
Only other issues are a sticky lock on the boot and the headlining, while new and replaced when I bought the car, has come away from the roof of the car so needs a bit of TLC.
Lots of receipts but for the last two years I've had a retired mechanic on it whenever it has needed job so it's been cash in hand - but by the same token the guy looking after it is old school and it has never been better cared for.
I just don't get the time anymore to drive this thing of beauty and it just seems a shame that it's not being enjoyed properly.
