2008 Sylva Riot Track car
The Sylva Riot is an ultra-lightweight, high performance mid-engine competition car. Its very capable and certainly not for the faint-hearted!
This particular example is powered by a Honda Fireblade CBR1000RR engine producing 172hp with a 12, 250 rpm redline! Weighing in at around 400kg the power to weight ratio is right around 430 HP per ton. In reality though, it probably makes a little more power than that since it has been mapped using the DynoJet Power commander fitted! It also has a Quaife ATB Limited Slip differential
The chassis is a tubular steel space frame with Aluminium / Fibreglass body panels. The front suspension is a cantilevered double wishbone set up with adjustable camber and toe, inboard shock absorbers (have a few sets of springs with different spring weights to include) and a quick steering rack. The rear is a double wishbone design, adjustable camber and toe. The brakes have been upgraded to Hi-Spec 4 piston calipers and the master cylinders are Wilwood. The brakes are adjustable front to rear via a Wilwood brake bias valve on the dash
The car was very well and thoughtfully put together. Completed in 2008, there is even a website documenting the cars build with lots of pictures.
It saw a fair bit of track use and improvements were made to keep adjusting the car in efforts to stay competitive. The biggest upgrades were added aero, the front has an added splitter and the rear end has a custom made rear diffuser and decklid which increased downforce and produced a little more grip for the rear axle
As for safety, it has remote battery disconnect on the dash, cowl and rear panels aswell as a lifeline onboard fire suppression system. The fire extinguisher is mounted in the passenger footwell and can be operated by pull leaver on the cowl or on the dash
Its currently a dedicated track car, however you can get them road registered and this was originally built to comply with SVA regs. I do have a lot of the parts required to make this a reality that I will throw in which include, headlights, indicators, rear plate holder and light, fog lamp etc etc
Also included is boxes and boxes of spare parts ranging from oil seals to spare calipers
Parts are still readily available to buy, body panels, suspension arms etc. Still stocked by RIOT cars and pretty cheap
