Up for sale is 1977 Ford Capri Mk2 Genuine Sport. Owned by a friend who has had the car since 2009. Originally a silver car it was painted white in the 90’s before being professionally restored to a high standard 6 years ago and finished in black 2K with Gold S striping. Now registered as Historic for MOT & Tax exemption also is ULEZ Free.
Extensive restoration work whereby all rust was removed and Ex-pressed supplied the new panels that were replaced include. Pair of A posts, Front lower crossmember, slam panel, both outer sills, Front Valance and a pair of NOS Ford Front wings. All this being done on a roll over jig and then etched primed and stonechipped underneath.
The suspension has also been fully stripped, bare metalled, painted and detailed using all stainless hardware. Brand new Front Gaz shock inserts, new springs, 24mm Thicker anti roll bar with fully polybushing. All new bearings throughout and upgraded vented discs with 2. 8i Calipers. New hoses, brake shoes and rear brake cylinders. Refurbished original S wheels with new wheel nuts and 185 70 13 Nankangs all round.
Reconditioned 2. 0 Pinto with new internals stem seals etc. Brand new 32/ 36 auto choke Weber carb, electronic ignition, recon radiator, new battery and all new hoses and stainless hardware. 4-2-1 Tubular manifold and full sportex performance system. Mated to a low mileage 5 speed Type-9 Gearbox and refurbed propshalf. Returning 30 mpg after a load roadtrip.
Interior wise retains its original White Cadiz S seats with no rips or tears or even bolster wear. Excellent 1-piece black carpet, uncut Sport doorcards, No sun damage cracks black dash (it is a ghia one I do have the original but has cracks) and mint headlining.
You will not be disappointed, arguably the best colour combo for a Mk2 closely resembling the JPS colours. Turns heads everywhere you go, ready to drive away.
