This is a 1971 Citroen Hy van with 1900cc Citroen engine. It was restored by Citroen Hy van specialists, Dragon Classics in 2021.

Works completed by Dragon Classics are listed in the available invoices, along with other suppliers, but include the following :
Engine rebuild by in-house Citroen Hy expert
New Petrol tank, fuel lines, senders
New exhaust system
New radiator and hoses
New rear / front lighting and wiring (original headlamps retained)
Replacement brake lines, brake shoes and pads (all 4 brakes)
Rebuilt rear suspension
Respray all exterior bodywork
Underseal all exposed metal (this has subsequently been maintained using Lanoguard, sealing all internal linings of exposed steelwork below the vehicle)
Replacement of small box section steelwork below the rear cabin
New door seals, new battery, refurbish all door locks and handles
Distributor cap, condensor and coil replacement.
The Solex carburettor has recently had an ultrasonic clean and re-gasket.
Brand new tyres on all 4 rims.
General service and replacement of all fluids.
Refurbished and re-upholstered seats.
The vehicle is mechanically excellent, reliable and well maintained.
The renovation works included forming a catering hatch in one side of the rear cab. It has not been fitted out with any catering equipment so is a blank canvas for any conversion.
The current branding applied to the vehicle is applied vinyl and will be removed prior to sale.
Since purchase in 2021 it has been regularly used each month for Marked day only, so has only covered 300 miles!
Everything on the van works well. Heating, ventilation, wipers, choke. It is tethered for a battery tender connection which we have maintained for battery health. The van is a very good example with all the ripple panels true and undamaged. All the original features are maintained and the interior dashboard and fascia have a nice original patina.
The rebuild and reconditioning works completed by Hy Van classic experts, Dragon Classic have been documented and expertly done.
The rebuilt engine is run-in and very strong and reliable on our regular steep hill climb to The Market!
It's a very attractive van with nice creamy white and offset black steel wheels.
