Description
Customised Kz1000 with lots of stainless fasteners and one off parts. Braced frame done by myself (fabricator welder to trade) and frame is powdercoated in a metallic gun metal finish. Bike was resprayed in November 2021. JMC braced swinging arm, Hagon piggy back shocks, which are two years old and recently serviced by Hagon. Upgraded brakes, fork spring and fork brace.
All servicing has been carried out by myself. Oil and filter change every year. Start of this year new Pirellis, Marvin exhaust and a new MotoBatt battery. 530 chain conversion in March 2023 from Zpower. Bike starts and runs well and is still being used so mileage might go up slightly. Same owner since it was imported in May 1996 when it had 18000 miles on the clock.
Very regrettable sale of a bike that has been part of me for a long time. A real head turner but with me being 60 soon and 40 years use of power tools, my hands feel the cold too much, hence the heated grips!
Not a Z for the purist but a very fun and usable classic.
