Description
Austin 7 “Cambridge Engineering” special. Usable classic, plenty of fettling left but runs very well and used regularly for rallies and events. Bowdenex brakes conversion, Simon Laxton leather seats. Fitted with Brooklands screens but also comes with original folding screen equipment that I’ve had rechromed but never fitted. Lots of bits inc ‘bunch of bananas’ manifold and gear change extension that I never got round to fitting. Professionally refurbed 3 bearing crank engine with re-profiled cam, Cambridge Ally head, sump, valve covers etc. starts every time and runs well. 12v electrics, LED “pork pie’ 3 way lights (indicators still need wiring), Klaxon horn for the full “Mr Toad” effect. I bought in April 22 , in boxes, as a never finished project. I commissioned “Ticking Tappets” in Kent to get back on the road, and have fettled since. From research it appears to be an original “Bill Williams” Cambridge Engineering body conversion. Comes with lots of history and documents, relevant books and manuals. Registered correctly with DVLA ‘historic’ so not MOT and £0 tax. I’ve had great fun but more into bikes so time for a new owner. Never fails to raise a smile and a wave!
