Manufactured 1981, first registered in UK 1987.
Currently with 9452 recorded miles, but likely to change as in occasional use.
MOT to September 2025. Registered as 'Historic Vehicle' therefore road tax is free and MOT is not mandatory.
All work recommended from MOT has been completed.
I bought this bike recently with the intention of keeping it as I had had one, which I loved, in the past, it starts very easily and runs beautifully, will keep up with motorway traffic and easily pull 90 mph (not that I have tried). Handles excellently, now that the front forks have been serviced and stops really well. The bike is overall in excellent condition, a very usable classic with new tyres, rear Hagon shocks and a brand new Yuasa battery. The seat cushion has been changed to make it softer and more comfortable (the originals were like sitting on a brick).
Prior to me purchasing the bike it had not been used for a few years and was in the process of being refreshed, not a restoration more a recommissioning with a little extra, i. e. new switches, rubbers, etc. But saying that the bike is very original, in that for its age it has not been messed around with and still has points and original coil ignition, a lot have been converted to electronic ignition, which make it more expensive to service and does not add anything.
The reason why I am selling it is that age and girth has caught up with me, at 5' 10" I feel cramped on it and my garage is full.
It would be an ideal bike for someone smaller or slimmer, it is light in comparison to similar sized Japanese bikes.
It comes with some spares, manuals and history, a few old MOT certificates, and an official dating letter from the MGCGB (Moto Guzzi club GB) that I used to get the Historic status for the bike.
Offers in the region of £3000, delivery to mainland GB can be arranged at cost. Very cheap to run, costs nothing to put it on the road, just insurance, whether you want to use it as your daily hack or for the week end ride out, you will find that this little bike is fun.
