Description
I have a very interesting ford gpw for sale that has been in the same Dorset family since release from the MOD in 1965, Mr Guy from Sturminster Newton in Dorset who owned it from the start was a paratrooper in ww2 and afterwards, it still has many original parts including its original ww2 split rim wheels, see pictures , also retains the old buff logbook showing the same familys registration details from the start, retains most of its script f markings on the various components also have the current v5 with the same family address , note the old original tax book states its a willys, most fords were logged as willys jeep back in the day because a ford jeep wasnt listed on the registration departments records so they had to be registered as a willys so thats all normal I can assure you .
I have some lovely old family photos from decades ago and its always been this colour as you will see on the 1965 tax document
recent works have encluded oil change, antifreeze, new transmistion oil and seals, a new brakemaster cylinder, new water pump, dynamo, regulator exhaust battery handbrake and tyres
its body tub has been very skillfully refurbished back in the 70s/ 80s and the chassis is in super undamaged imaculate condition , I have done several mechanical repairs to it since buying and there are as with most jeeps a few more little things that could be done to improve it even further, It would be a lovely jeep for someone who likes the British history £19000 ono , I would consider a hotchkiss or problem jeep, car , tractor in part exchange
