Arguably the best Ducati Monster ever produced. The S4RS was the pinnacle of the original Monster. It features the 998cc Testastretta 4 valve per cylinder liqiud cooled Superbike engine in the Monster chassis. Ducati threw the "kitchen sink" at this model! Carbon fibre everywhere, Ohlins fully adjustable suspension, Brembo brakes with radial mounted calipers and so on! The engine was in a slightly milder state of tune in keeping with a "naked" producing "only" 130bhp. It weighs just 177 kg dry.
This bike is totally standard (unlike many others that have been messed with) apart from radiator guards.
Only selling due to a reduction in storage space at home. The price will include professionally fitted new timing belts, or I will discount to the value of. The current belts have done very few miles but should be changed every 2 years.
I will also MOT should this be required. This bike was bought because it was the best available at the time. It was purchased in Jan 2022 from Ducati Coventry and has covered just a few hundred dry miles since.
Ducati Monsters of this era suffer from two problems in particular:
Crankcase paint peel and corrosion - This bike has none.
Plastic fuel tank blistering - This bike has none and has had internal treatment to protect it. This problem is caused by the ethanol in modern fuel.
It is a UK supplied, UK spec bike. It comes with keys (inc red key) and Ducati code card, all the books. Extensive service history - mostly Ducati.
