Land Rover 110 FFR/ GS 2. 5na 1995 Has excellent Chassis & Bulkhead R380 Gear Box & Disc brakes F&R. Wolf Wheels

Low Mileage 50k miles MOT April 2025

This one of the last pre-wolf 110 supplied to the MOD so has a R380 Gear Box (short bell housing version) Disc Brakes front & Rear. Salisbury Rear Axle . Wolf Wheels. The Defender was first registered for civilian use in 2012 after being decommissioned from the Medical Regiment reserves.

I purchased it in Oct 2020 from the first civilian owner who purchased in Sept 2017 from the dealer who purchased from the MOD in 2012.
The original engine was replaced by the MOD dealer with a MOD reconditioned engine.

I wanted to keep it fairly OEM but increase comfort & safety with some upgrades. I spent 15 months including during the lock downs in 2020/ 2021 refurbishing it. I will add a link to youtube with a video/ pictures showing various stages of the work.

The Chassis was in excellent condition with no repairs with army applied wax but I spent 3 months getting it back to bare metal and covering inside and out Dinitrol RC900 Rust convertor/ primer, then painting with zinc primer and then injecting with Dinitrol ML Cavity Wax and covering with Dinitrol 4941 Underbody wax.

Dismantled the dash board, rubbed down the bulkhead and painted and injected inside with RC900 Rust convertor/ primer, then painted with zinc primer and covered with Silent coat sound proofing. Did the same with the other parts and the heater/ box/ channel etc. Fitted new wind screen wiper mechanism as I had access. Fitted upgraded Binnacle Mount & surround.
Did the same with the gear box tunnel, floor panels & bonnet and seat box. Made bespoke Console on the rear bulk head for CB radio etc. Fitted Engine Guard Alarm & USB charging points.

Then moved onto the rear cage area and replaced the floor reinforcing strips and rust proofed and painted the floor and rear area. Fitted lockable Ammo storage boxes as per the pictures.

Rubbed down the axles/ hubs & rustproofed and painted. Rubbed down the exterior paint work and repainted (hand brushed) Painted in Nato Green BS285 Matt Paint (have some left over)

I took off the radio equipment to make it more usable. I have added some upgrades as used on the Tithonus project.

Have files of receipts including all the Dinitrol products I used

I then took it for a check over and MOT to get it back on the road in March 2022 where it had new CAM Belt & Water Pump & Engine flush & New Radiator/ Brake Pads

For the MOT in March 23 it had an A-Frame
Ball Joint. Also new Bosch 800CCA AGM battery.
For the MOT this year in march it had 4 wheel bearings fitted (Timken)

Serviced each year

Its Army Reg was CF31AA I have the Military History card, served most of its life with a TA Medical Unit in NI. Although it had radio equipment fitted with a 24v alternator for extra batteries the engine & vehicle electrics are all 12V as standard.

Has private plate which I can take off or if you want it I will include in the sale if it goes for the asking price.

Comes with a very high quality bespoke car cover(£300)

It is a nearly 30 year old ex-Army vehicle with hand painted finish so bear that in mind but where it really counts it is very well protected against rust and future proofed.

I am not desperate to sell and looking for £15, 499. Payment by bank transfer & it will not be released until payment is received in full.

Would accept an exchange/ part X for the right Petrol 12v Lightweight.
