Description
I’m looking to sell my 1977 Triumph Stag.
It has been totally restored by E. J. Wards, the oldest established Stag specialist garage, in 20I8.
The engine was restored in 2015, again by E. J. Ward, and has done about 7. 5k miles. The car has been regularly serviced and oil changed.
Whilst the car is tax and MOT exempt I have had an MOT done as I feel that a second independent check is a good thing.
The car will come with a 12 month MOT upon purchase.
I’ve driven the car 6k miles since it was restored, when a new speedometer was fitted.
There is a comprehensive pictorial record of the restoration and a file of paperwork relating to the car whilst it has been in my ownership.
If you have any questions please send me a message and I’ll answer them asp.

The car has an immobiliser which will be shown to the new owner.
There is a tracker fitted that is a low annual/ three year subscription.
This has two years to run and is a rolling contract that the owner isn’t tied to.
The car is in exceptional condition with nothing needed doing, just turn the key, listen to the burble, smile, drive and enjoy.
The asking price is £27k.
The car is in Northamptonshire if you’d like to view it.
Private plate is not part of the sale and will be removed. Buying a Triumph Stag was an important purchase for me.
I cared from my brother in the last year of his life and in our conversations we talked about getting a Stag to drive around the country looking at follies, something the two of us enjoyed. It wasn’t to happen. But a few years later I decided to do what we planned.
So a Stag was purchased. After a few months it was clear that the engine needed attention, and thereby my ongoing relationship with E. J. Wards began.
Less than two years later some body work needed looking at and so began what was to be a total rebuild/ restoration, from body work, mechanical and all electrical, including a new loom.
It was decided to add all of the desirable ‘bits’ so a ZF gearbox, tubular manifolds, Chapman and Cliff handmade/ restored dashboard, new speedo, oil/ temp gauge, clock, leather reupholstered front seats and as they say in the movies ‘many more’.
You will see details of the work carried out by Wards and in my ownership they have done a total restoration of ‘Trigger.’
I love this car and have lavished care and attention, had every service and any jobs it’s needed done by Wards.
However it’s now time after 12 years, many miles, smiles, and very much pleasure and enjoyment to move on and part with Trigger.
Perhaps it sounds like Trigger is on a dating site, but I’ll only sell it to someone who will care for it properly and help Trigger live for another 50 years.
