Description

This Aston Martin DBS V8 is a nicely presented example of the 1970s flagship model, which evidently benefits from prior restoration. At the time of production was the fastest production car ever produced.

Powered by a 5. 3-litre V8, thought to produce around 310bhp, coupled to a three-speed automatic gearbox.
It has been serviced regularly in recent years, also benefiting from a recent braking system and steering rack overhaul.
The indicated mileage is assumed to be a true at just over 107, 000 miles, or the distance covered since a prior restoration.

Finished in Oxford Blue, with cream leather upholstery in the cabin.

Factory equipment includes electric windows, dual horns, heated rear screen, and a full complement of Smiths instrument gauges.
The air conditioning system was removed some years ago, and no compressor is currently fitted.
A Clarion E950 radio cassette player is installed, which is believed to date from the 1980s however not currently working.
The car will be accompanied by a DBS V8 instruction book, along with a certified copy of its factory records and various maintenance receipts.

There has been no known bodywork damage. The previous owner installed a set of new front wings, and the bumpers have been re-chromed.
The car has covered relatively few miles since being resprayed, and its Oxford Blue paintwork now has just a few minor imperfections in the finish, though clearly presents very well as the photographs show.
Inside, the cream leather seat covers and door cards have been re-connolised in recent years, while the carpets, headlining, sun visors and boot liner have all been re-trimmed. The headlining is sagging slightly and could do with being re-trimmed agian. The seats have some minor surface creasing but no significant wear, and there are some small scratches on the dashboard trim.
The drivers side electric window is intermittent and would need to be tinkered with to make sure it remains operational.

The most recent MOT test was on 30 October 2020 at an indicated 6, 816 miles, which was a clean pass with no advisories or defects. The car is exempt from mandatory testing on the basis of age.

In October 2020 AutoRevive London overhauled the brake callipers, servos and master cylinder, before fitting new brake discs and pipes.
The steering rack was reconditioned, the alternator was overhauled, a modified fuel pump was installed and the underside was given a Waxoyl application. At the same time, the gearbox oil, filter, and sump gasket were all replaced.

The car was previously serviced in March 2017, where technicians at Camelot Workshops in Bedford replaced the engine oil, fuel filter and sidelight units.
In June 2016, Camelot Workshops changed the engine oil, air filter and fuel filter.
During the vendor’s ownership, the fuel injection system has also been overhauled, while a new temperature sensor has been fitted and the wheels have been refurbished, finished with stainless steel nuts, and shod with new Avon tyres. The air filters and inlet manifolds have also been powder-coated.

This Aston Martin DBS V8 is a good example of the classic 1970s grand tourer Having evidently been restored in the past, and having undergone notable mechanical work in recent years. Some minor convenience works required over the winter months to make her ready to be a great summer companion
