The Camshaft drivebelt was renewed during the April 2023 service.
The car was stored for 10 years from 2011-21.
I bought the car privately 6 months ago.
The car has a Honda engine and so is very reliable. There's two Rover keys. The car still has the original dealer plates.
Rover 600s are becoming rare now, this car is 1 of only 23 still on the road!
The 618iS features are p. a. s, alarm, immobiliser, electric front windows, mirrors, and sun roof, front fog lights, folding rear seats, remote locking, abs.
The Rover radio/ cassette and clock display doesn't work. The radio has been decoded.
The leather/ cloth upholstery is in very good condition. The headliner is sagging slightly above the back of the rear seats.
It's an excellent runner with an ultra reliable Honda engine. It's smooth and powerful. A lovely drive!
The car is mechanically sound with absolutely no problems. The previous owner mentioned that it was undersealed last winter with quality Buzzweld products.
The body and paintwork is generally in very good condition with absolutely no rust on the sills or in the wheel arches which is a common 600 problem.
However there are some small marks on the o/ s rear corner of the roof that were caused during the 10 year storage period.
There's two small shallow dents with scratches and two other small scratches.
These aren't very noticeable and don't spoil the overall look of the car. There's also a mark on the rear window as well as some surface scratches. These were also caused during storage.
There's a type of blister on the bodywork near the exhaust and a few paint chips on the front of the bonnet. Not too bad considering the car's age!
Finally some of the weather stripping has degraded and has left an uneven outer edge although the edge next to the windows is secure.
