Description
1984 volkswagen polo derby which has had a afh 16v swap with 085 5 speed gearbox still running the standard fuel injection, unlike most with bike carbs which makes this alot more reliable, engine roughly had 60k upon install
This is the perfect classic daily driver for anyone looking for one, not had the car too long but I have put a bunch of work in to get it to good standard where you can get in and drive
The swap was done buy a previous owner which wasn't done too well so iv gone through it all to make sure it's was safe and reliable, still needs a few loose end sorting with the wiring loom to tidy it up but nothing drastic
Things done and parts put into the car-
New clutch
New ignition coil
New lower arms including ball joints and bushings
Outer CV joint
All shifter linkage bushings
Full stainless exhaust
Vw 2 brake calipers with mtech drilled and vented discs
Rear wheels cylinders
4 new nankang tyres
Few more bit that I can't think off
Has a set off 13" compomotive wheels which are pretty hard to find in 4x100, has a 20mm spacer on the rear
The car has had a DIY paint job in the past which ov cleaned and polished up to the best of my ability, it's far from perfect but cleans up well
Interior is tidy with not many marks, original had black vinyl door car which had fallen apart so found some cloth ones to match the seats which brightens it up alot, along with a bt sony head unit with pioneer speaks in the standard locations which sounds pretty well considering its only 3 speakers, does have a rpm gauge but haven't got round to making work with the engine, also the speedo read faster then actual speed which had made the milage go up alot quicker down to only having small wheels, the car itself is on about 100k
Needs no welding as iv recently repaired the floor and other little bits, battery tray was repaired by a previous owner
This car is an absolute rocket and is great fun to drive, iv driven it all over the place and been dailying it for the past few months and keeps up with traffic with ease, looking to find a e28 so need to sell this before I do
Iv tried to be as honest as possible, probably missing a bunch more details, I have tons of pictures to show too
