Description
My superb MGB GT LE only up for sale only due to the fact that I am suffering arthritis in my knee and other aches and pains getting in and out of it is getting all the more difficult.
The car is in beautiful condition all round and as far as I know its never had any welding or restoration work. The only thing I am told by my bodywork man is that it has had a re spray at some point before I got it 2yrs ago, however I like to think I am reasonably knowledgeable about cars and I must admit I hadn’t noticed and he has confirmed he has found no evidence of fillers or repairs to the bodywork upon inspection.
The car has original ‘deck chair seats’ and the only thing I have done with them is replace the seat squabs due to them been ‘tired’ otherwise the fabric is a1. Wheels are in excellent condition and I had 4 new Avon tyres fitted about 3000 miles ago. It also has a full length ‘webasto’ sun roof in full working order (and it doesn’t leak!!) The car also has overdrive on 3rd and 4th gears (smooth and working perfectly) a stainless exhaust system and a superb Pioneer radio/ cd fitted.
Whilst I have owned the car I have taken it to numerous shows and it has always attracted a lot of interest as the car is one of the last GT’s the ‘LE’ version (one of only 580 ever built) it is very rare I have hardly ever seen another LE like it at a show compared with numerous other ‘bog standard’ MGB’s attending. Lastly the car has a current MOT without any advisories till August 2025
Anyone seriously interested in the car please contact me for further details
In view of the unique condition of this car offers as near to the asking price as possible will only be considered and ridiculous low offers will be rejected so please don't waste your time or mine! This is a car in good running order with as far as I know does not need any attention either mechanical or bodily. The car did have a full service in August. The car is very unusual and rarely seen at classic car shows, These cars were built to commemorate the last of the MGBs ever built and were produced in Roadster form finished in Bronze mettallic and the GT (as this is) in Pewter silver mettallic in all only 1000 LE's were ever produced 580 GT's and 420 Roadsters.
So if you want a car which is now part of MG history this car is definitely worth consideration, Remember there were a 1000 built however, how many are left?
Finally please no timewasters!!!
