Description
For sale is a 1967 Lotus Elan series 3 S/ E restoration project. It is a genuine type 45 car i. e. a DHC which has been off the road since about 1980 and has been with the same owner since the early 70s. It was repainted in purple/ gold around 1976 but shows a dark green colour underneath. I do not have a modern V5 just one from back in the day and at present it is not in my name. The V5 I have says no former keepers prior to 1977 and as I am selling it I will let the new owner apply so that it keeps the number of owners down. I bought it with the intention of restoring it but I've had a change of heart/ priorities so it's up for sale and will make a good project as it's very complete apart from the interior mirror and steering wheel. The original steering wheel cracked in the 70s and was thrown away and I have no idea what happened to the mirror although repros are available for both. This car will require a full restoration so assume everything will need doing. It does not start and run and the engine may well be seized but it rolls freely. I have not had it up in the air but from what little I can see it seems to still have its original chassis. The car will not be released until paid for in full via bank transfer. Any questions feel free to ask although I am not an expert on Elans and have never owned one before.
