1959 Austin-Healey 3000 Mark 1

Hi and welcome to the sale of my 1959 AH 3000 works rally replica.
Total ground up restoration carried out in 1988 and in one gentleman ownership for the past 35 years having been subsequently upgraded to 59 GTS spec.
The car boasts a wonderful period rally history spanning this period having competed in some of the most notable events such as the Liege rome Liege, Monte carlo, acropolis etc and fully fully supported with photographs of the car on every stage in these events along with pace notes and all competitor plates and bronze plaques etc.
A full FIVA logbook is also present and registered on the HRCR database.
Fully documented restoration with every invoice, m. o. t and service invoices also present since present ownership spanning 35 years.
A brief description of the car as follows
Body work is to standard 59 rally spec with alloy wings works vents with lightweight hardtop.
Engine rebuilt In 2012 with approx 3500miles since and to 59 spec including works crankshaft, forged pistons, 2" s. u carburettors, unleaded gas flowed cylinder head with full janspeed 6 branch exhaust manifold and high level stainless steel rally silencers.
Further upgrades are uprated heavy duty radiator, alternator conversion, lightweight pre engaged starter motor, alloy sump and full sump guard and 16 row oil oiler with spin on filter conversion
Centre change gearbox with full race overdrive.
FIA alloy baffled fuel tank with twin pumps.
Heavy duty shock absorbers with uprated 7/ 8 front anti roll bar.
Recent work has seen a full under body clean with both front and rear suspension and brake overhaul including new rear springs and shock absorbers, new rear brake linings and cylinders, new front discs with stainless aeroquip hoses and new bushes throughout, media blasted and re enamelled, all fluids changed.
Safety wise there is a half roll cage(bolt in) and 6 point luke harness present
Full rally I strumemtation is also present with Halda twinmaster, avant map lights and period spot lucas spot lights(included but not presently fitted)
Full weather equipment with soft top, tonneau, and original sidescreens in bag are also present as are ridgaurd high level seats.
Further recent work includes the fitment of new minilite wheels along with brand new Michelin XAS tyres which are a super road rally tyre.
The car presents well in fine order although there are as expected a few paint chips and blemishes with a car of this nature.
Ideally a super strong car which would suit the rally enthusiast or even a owner who likes fast road drives or could be further developed with tulip gears, lsd etc once the bug has bitten!
