Description
Very rare and collectible Swedish origin SAAB 96 Monte Carlo 850 model year 1966, first registration November 1965 (to make it 100% clear: it is 1966 model with all 1966 features and early 1966 chassis number, but manufactured and first registered in late 1965 as Saab was changing model year to new in preceeding September), full restoration (body, chassis, drivetrain, interior etc. - pictures on request) in 2014 in world famous classic Saab garage in Kanczuga.
3000 km approx. since then.
All original parts matching to Monte Carlo 850 specification.
Strong 60 HP Monte Carlo engine with oil injection (matching part numbers of engine block, crank, cylinder head etc.).
Matching Monte Carlo 1966 gear box with long ratio.
Matching Monte Carlo brake system with front disc brakes and four bolt hubs.
Electrical system with AC alternator (as for 1966 on).
Simons HP exhaust.
Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres.
Additional static two points safety belts on rear seats so one can use child seats there.
Later repairs: ignition wiring, voltage regulator, new battery, carburetors in 2019, new carburetors' fuel hoses, brakes and clutch repairs and tune-up in 2024.
Comes with originals of old Swedish registration papers (including first registration in 1965!)
Ready for any trip.
The car is always parked in dry garage.
The Ronal alloy rims (4 bolts) and very rare chromed front grill blend (new) are available additionally on request. I decided to sell her because I have got other collectible Saabs (incl. SAAB Granturismo 750, Sonett V4 and Sonett III) and I haven't got enough time to drive them all (see only 3000 km during 10 years).
She deserves to drive more that I can.
I'm sure the buyer will love her.
