Reluctantly selling my beautiful 1977 Triumph Stag finished in New White. Motorcycle purchases and lack of use are forcing sale due to space in garage. Insurance valuation is at £26, 750. Owned since 2019 and purchased from Bicester Sports & Classics. Only showing 3 former owners.
Handover at time of sale included extensive receipts and photographic restoration history which I still have. MOT'd (until 5th August 2025) and serviced every year. Engine is certified as original Triumph Stag V8 engine supplied with car. Runs beautifully and with no issues.
Triumph Stags have a very unfair reputation. Most of the issues when the car was first released were due to poor maintenance. This fine example of a stag has the standard additional fan and runs on Evans waterless coolant. I have been out in 90 degrees celsius and she still runs like a dream. Nothing beats the burble of the V8 with the hood down on a fine summer's day. My stag has the original hardtop roof and perfectly functioning soft top hood.
Recently had the carpets and door cards replaced and interior is in amazing condition. Car is serviced every year and no expense is spared in keeping her in tip top condition. Paintwork is in great condition with some work required to front wings due to corrosion.
Was quoted £500 to rectify.
She really has to be seen to be appreciated but please no time wasters or canvassers. I am open to sensible offers but in no rush to sell as still have space in my garage for storage. I am selling with original handbook / cover in addition to hardtop garage hoist which really simplifies hardtop removal and fitting.
Viewing welcomed for serious buyers. I work from home and am available during most times weekday or weekend. Best colour combination. Engine is very smooth and in great order. Good condition stag with original features.
