The sale here is for a collection of three Honda XL’s, all produced in 1974. They provide a collection of the XL range from that year. The bikes are an XL350, an XL250 Motorsport and an XL250K1. The Motorsport and XL350 are in immaculate condition, having been subject to detailed and professional restorations over many years. The XL350K1 is in excellent condition and running order. The three bikes are now registered and located in SW France. All have been previously owned by myself, registered and subject to MOT tests in the UK. The Motorsport is a UK model with 6 previous owners and bought by me in Roadstar Cycles, Dover in 2008. The XL250K1 was a USA import in 1992 and had 4 registered owners before I bought it in 2009. The XL350 was a USA Import which I bought in 2019. The bikes show mileages as follows. Motorsport 4205, XL350, 5681, and the K1, 11536. These mileages verified at several MOTs. All three bikes have been reviewed and vetted in France as part of the registration and dating process carried out independently by FFVE, Federation Francaise de Vehicles D’epoque. All are now registered as Vehicles de Collections, a registered historic vehicle. The three bikes provide an excellent opportunity to own a collection of Honda XL’s from 1974. They provide an incredible snapshot of the excellence and manufacturing prowess of Honda and set their development of the first 4 valves heads used in the company. The XL350 and Motorsport are in absolutely incredible condition and turn heads everywhere they go. The K1 has had a sympathetic refurbishment and is in excellent order. I have used some excellent and highly regarded professionals in their refurbishment. Phil Denton Engineering, who completely rebuilt the Motorsport and assisted in the other two, JBS painting, Central Wheels, Niphos for chrome work, Camcoat for exhaust, Dynasurf for fork rebuilds and hard chroming, Vaporworx for carburettor rebuilds. All have contributed to the three bikes making an excellent condition collection.
