Finished in Jet Black Metallic with black and grey leather trimmed sports seats, this 2007 SAAB 9-5 Hot Aero has been only had one previous owner since new and presents in superb condition throughout.
Originally supplied by Richard Lamb, of Gordon Lamb SAAB, Chesterfield to a local accountant, the car has always lived in the town and was recognisable with a distinctive number plate which has now been retained by the family. We bought the car last year following his passing and have sought to improve its condition to how it presents now - probably the nicest 9-5 available in the U. K.
Having only covered 72k miles, the SAAB is mechanically excellent, it has recently had a full service, new AC condensor, 4 new Dunlop tyres, new ABS sensors and a four wheel alignment. It is driving perfectly and all features work as they should. The famous SAAB Turbo experience is well and truly alive and the car has absolutely blistering overtaking capability when required.
All four alloy wheels have been freshly refurbished and fitted with new genuine SAAB centre caps and wheel bolt caps and the car has been professionally detailed and 2 stage machine polished. It also wears its original Gordon Lamb Chesterfield supplying dealer number plates.
Inside, the similarly excellent original condition continues, with no significant wear or marks to the leather upholstery, headliner or carpets. The quality of the leather is superb and these are genuinely the most comfortable car seats I have ever sat in. Serviced by the supplying SAAB dealer until the franchise closed down in 2010, the first owner then took the car to one of the U. Ks last SAAB dealers, in Doncaster, for maintenance until they closed down in 2015. Since then, the car has been looked after by two specialist garages in Chesterfield, totaling 12 service entries in the book and multiple additional invoices for work carried out, and a binder of the MOTs. The book pack and two remote keys accompany the car.
This must be one of the last low owner, low mileage and extremely nice 9-5s - most appear to have been run on a shoestring and abused over very high mileages. In a world where there will never be any more SAABs, this car is increasingly special. It is still superb to drive, looks great and always gains admiring petrol forecourt compliments.
