HISTORY
This unit has been completely restored by hand at the specialists ‘Talleres Diputación’ in Barcelona, including the installation of a new engine and taking great care with every detail. This Mustang Fastback was first registered in its country of origin, the United States, in 1967, and is now offered for sale by its current owner after a laborious restoration work of five years (2015 to 2020). A dossier of photos of the restoration is available.
Since the restoration of this Mustang has been completed, the car has only covered a couple of hundred kilometres, so it is in very good overall condition and has not required any additional maintenance. It will be delivered with a valid MOT until 2025. It is currently registered in Spain as a Historic Vehicle.
MECHANICS
Under the bonnet is a 4. 9 litre, eight-cylinder, longitudinal, V-type, naturally aspirated engine. The gearbox is a three-speed automatic. This vehicle has only covered about 200 km since its complete restoration. As for the engine, a new one imported from the United States has been installed, which guarantees that it is in very good condition. No mechanical or electrical faults have been detected.
It has disc brakes and a twin tailpipe exhaust. It is also fitted with the original set of 14 inch steel wheels, fitted with tyres in perfect condition.
BODYWORK
At first glance, the beautiful ‘Candyapple’ metallic red colour stands out, which, together with its 4 headlights, emphasises the aggressive line of this American pony car (the bonnet contains the signature of its current owner, who is an influencer).
The bodywork looks perfectly shiny and smooth thanks to the fantastic restoration. The paintwork is very good, with no marks or scratches all over the car. The optics, lights, grille and air intake plastics are also as good as new.
INTERIOR
Inside the car, black leatherette is the main protagonist for the seats, door panels and floor carpet, combined with chrome inserts on the dashboard and centre console. Factory equipment includes a three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel, heating and ventilation controls, dual mirrors, a Mustang-branded radio system.
Inside, the interior is in very good condition, the front and rear seats are in excellent condition, with the leather in perfect condition. The rest of the interior also remains in very good condition, with no signs of use or wear to highlight, except for some minor colour loss on the centre console. The Ford Mustang Fastback is the ultimate classic car.
