This is no ordinary Mark 1 MR2. Having covered just 47, 732 miles from date of first registration on 03/ 04/ 1989 and still 100% in its original paint this car is an exceptional example of the iconic Mark 1. I am the third registered owner of the vehicle.
The car is the 1598 cc manual, targa top model. The engine runs superbly. Gear changes are tight and crisp with no kick back in any of its 5 gears. I have been told it is arguably the most complete example left in the UK but will not officially claim that at the risk of causing offence. I have had the car fully polished and ceramic coated to maintain its stunning colour. The car is garaged but has a full storm force cover. The targa roof panels come with the original bags and I have the optional extra black out screens for the roof. There are no leaks whatsoever in the roof or wear on the rubber trims.
It is totally original inside and out, looks and drives like a new car. Has the desirable leather, not cloth trim seats and the interior is in A1 condition with the carpets completely protected and unworn. All the switchgear is working and unmarked. The car sits on diamond cut steel original rims. The pop-up headlights are in full working order as is the original stereo and auto pop up aerial. The condition of the car has to be seen to be believed, however I have tried to portray this in the photos. The underside of the car is as good as the rest.
I have a full history file for the car which has an MOT until March 2025. It passed its MOT with no advisories, just full of compliments.
This MR2 has wanted for nothing since my ownership as it has done all its life. The car has been recently serviced at which point I had the cambelt changed and a full oil and coolant change.
A truly exceptional example of the Mark 1 MR2 which was the best design of the Marque in my opinion.
This is priced due to its condition and position in the Mark 1 MR2 market in this country. There has been no requirement for any restoration to this car.
