Welcome to the sale of our gorgeous Lexus RC F 5. 0 V8 coupe.
We bought the car brand new in summer 2023, having searched all over the country for the perfect example. There it was, sitting inside the showroom with just delivery mileage on the clock and practically every optional extra fitted - we knew there and then we had to have it.
Over the past year, life has taken over and we have covered just 2, 200 miles, hence taking the difficult decision to let someone else enjoy the car.
We love the car’s rarity, and whilst that made finding the right example difficult, you get immense pleasure when proper ‘car people’ nod knowingly and give you the thumbs up.
We have totally fallen for its charms, one minute it’s a soothing torquey GT car, the next you’re scaring yourself half to death!

The first thing to note is that the “F” is nothing like a normal RC. If you put the two cars side by side the muscle and flared arches/ bumpers of the V8 model are blindingly obvious – this is a car endowed with some serious muscle and the road presence to match.
The RC F is the perfect expression of a silk glove over a steel fist. The bodywork shows such a well judged amount of muscle draped elegantly over the mechanicals, if Lexus was a British brand you could well imagine James Bond driving a black RC F…
Rather than being a sportier version of the RC, the F is more a mini piece of exotica, related to the LC500 V8 and to a degree, the never to be seen again LFA V10.
Our example is finished in perfect “Caviar Graphite Black” and it’s bl00dy lovely. It has all the menace and purpose of a black car, but with deep textures and depths to the colour when in direct sunlight. It’s twice the visual treat a white car would be.
Being a very late production car, it benefits from the facelift that Lexus applied in 2020 and has the upgraded LED front and rear lights and the super classy bronze effect front grille surround, which adds a surprising amount of sophistication to the car. It looks every inch the junior supercar!
One of the big option upgrades on our car are the 19” forged aluminium wheels. The wheels have multiple delicate looking spokes with a lovely diamond polished finish, complimented by graphite grey inner spokes. Peeking menacingly behind them are orange “F” brake calipers over massive grooved discs.
Open the door to the car and you are met by the rich, thick smell of new leather – it’s intoxicating and utterly yummy!
Our example has the perfect interior colour scheme of black perforated leather, with Flare Red accents which add a sporty and purposeful air to the interior. The seats are both heated and cooled and hug you just so.
A big bonus, more so than we ever expected, is the optional glass sunroof. It lets light flood into the cabin and creates a lovely, feel good ambience.
Day-to-day usability is superb, with four proper seats and a good-sized boot, it’s a mini supercar you can use every day if you wish, and there really aren’t many of those about.
One of the best things about the way the car drives is the fact that, despite the awesome performance available, you can also just waft about without any fuss or drama. The whole package settles into a lovely gait when you just want to comfortably and quietly get somewhere without drawing too much attention to yourself.
Left to its own devices the 8-speed automatic gently switches between gears, and you ride along on a wave of effortless torque – 5 litres of ultra-high specification V8 will do that for you.
When you are in the mood though, and want to let your hair down, the car will respond instantly and deliver a real adrenaline hit - engage Sport mode and the car will absolutely fly down the road accompanied by an evocative, spine-tingling soundtrack you’ll never tire of hearing!
This has to be one of the very best powerplants available at any price in 2024 and the engine feels absolutely bulletproof!
We are private sellers, this is our personal car, and we aren’t looking to take a part exchange. If we could see ourselves using the car more than we currently do then it wouldn’t be going anywhere but the reality is, if anything our mileage over the next year will be even lower and that’s such a shame.
