Description
Very fine condition in rare Aran Beige. MOT to 04/ 25. File of invoices and some pics of '90's body restoration. Extremely well WaxOyled. Factory elec., windows. Robsport engine '22 with less than 1000 miles. Steering rack '19. New clutch and flywheel and gearbox oil '22. New hood, seat covers (passenger cover not yet fitted) '21. Wheels refurb., tyres all very good although spare tyre looks to be original and age related. Last service 04/ 24. Very original with factory radio cassette. Only non standard part is a Kenlowe fan and a '80's rubber aerial. Unfortunate 4 inch split in front bumper next to O/ S sidelight which I have been told is repairable.
I only purchased the car last July from the fastidious previous owner who was not a "tinkerer". He therefore spent a lot of money at Robsport in the past few years with invoices to prove. I have carried out some tinkering myself including upgrading the headlights which DO pop up and down perfectly. Unfortunately I have recently lost it's storage and I also now require an automatic. It would be such a shame to leave outside (has car cover included) during the coming winter months. Lancaster agreed value, with 2 year certificate, at £8000. Unrightfully much maligned (only because of earlier model Speke Liverpool factory build problems) but (from personal experience) much easier to get in and out of than an MGB. 5 speed gearbox, so no troublesome overdrive and still relatively cheap (at the moment) "wind in the hair" fun! I bought this because I'm a child of the '70's and was wowed aged 12 at the design and was brought up with browns and beiges!
