Description
This engine is a 350cc bevel-drive 5-speed wide-case which will fit straight into most of the later Ducati single frames.
The engine is ready-to-run (just add oil), and was built by Terry Ives of Stotfold Engineering, Bigglewade, who was a highly successful classic bike racer (both in the UK and beyond) and is a well-known restorer of old motorcycles.
Featuring hairpin valve springs (i. e. it's NOT a 'desmo'), green & white cam and shimmed-up solid rockers (see pics) for added reliability at high revs, this would be highly suitable for fast road use or even racing. Points ignition and so requires a battery to run, there is an alternator fitted for charging same. Carburettor not included - a 30mm Mk1 Amal Concentric would be my recommendation, and should fit the existing studs.
Please note: I purchased the 350cc engine earlier in the year with the intention of fitting it into my restored Mk3, but no longer required as I am presently in the process of selling the bike with its original 250cc motor (POA) - see last 2 photos, message/ call for details.
