Here for sale we have my 1997 Mk1 Renault Clio “Provence” edition in Renault’s “Bleu Roy” or Royal Blue in English. This car is as close to OEM as it gets - original Phillips cassette radio, owners book pack and Provence 5 spoke wheel trims - with just 29635 miles on the clock from new. This mileage checks out via its MOT history and the fact that it was originally owned by an elderly lady, covering about 600-700 miles a year for 20+ years.
In my ownership I have had the car serviced, along with replacing the cam belt and water pump at the mileage listed - the car will also have a fresh set of reproduction dealership plates to resolve one of the MOT advisories. The car is insurance group 7, making it ideal for someone as a first car, or even just a cheap run around.
There are some age related dents and some light scratching, mostly on the bonnet. Along with this, you can see that the arches are bubbling slightly on the rear, but I have since treated this and this is as far as the rust goes on the arches. The previous owner has also driven over a bollard or something similar, subsequently pushing the sill up underneath the drivers side door. Considering this has not been raised on the MOT and it has not broken the paint, it is merely a cosmetic defect.
This is such a nice example of an untouched 90s icon.
