2009 Honda Civic Type R FN2 GT spec in Milano Red
Well cared for and upgraded model.
Drives really well, very good recent MOT history (no advisories at all at last three tests), serviced at least once per year over the past three years - I've had the rocker cover off to refurb it and to set the valve lash, and the internals of the engine are still gleaming.
Aimed for an OEM+ look and feel, still drives like a Honda FN2, just a slightly smoother and more positive ride and a more responsive engine with more immediate power - lower rev VTEC engagement (depending on which map mode you're in), louder air intake and deeper exhaust note. Achieving somewhere around 220bhp, still fully naturally aspirated and on the original cat (so no problems during MOTs).
Most everything works as it should, air con is cold, cruise control and basically all the other electrics are working properly.
Only things to note are the fuel door catch is playing up (won't always latch properly), the electric windows don't fold (extremely common problem, probably an easy fix, just never bothered me) and the digital display on the dash top sometimes needs a tap to display the time correctly (also common with these).

List of performance upgrades during my tenure include:
-Poly bushed suspension
-Fully adjustable Whiteline rear antiroll bar
-Eibach progressive lowering springs
-Marlin Ecutek ECU remap (including traction control upgrade - a £600 map!)
-Direnza cold air intake system (accounted for in ECU map)
-Fully custom, dual exit and double resonated stainless steel catback exhaust (sounds great at high rpm but not too loud and with no drone when cruising, you can still hear the massive intake sound when you hit VTEC) - Poly mounted to protect against exhaust mount failures
-Upgraded Denso iridium performance oriented spark plugs
List of aesthetic upgrades during my tenure include:
-Rocker cover refurb with custom spark plug cover
-Alloy refurb in anthracite with OE Honda black wheel nuts
-Eibach 15mm wheel spacers to fill the arches (makes a huge difference, just looks right)
-Seeker style spoiler added to rear wing
-Brake Calipers refurbed and painted with 'Type R' picked out
-Mugen gear knob
-Black fog lamp covers (also protects against stones smashing the fogs up)
-Black door handle and fuel door covers
-Black sequential LED wingmirror indicator lenses
-Various engine bay dress up items
List of general maintenance undergone in my tenure:
-Replaced shocks all round
-Brembo discs and pads
-Gearbox oil change (with Honda mtf)
-Valve timings on intake and exhaust set correctly (they were only very slightly out of spec, but did notice smoother acceleration after)
-Regular oil and filter changes
-New alternator and battery
-Good tyres all round with plenty of tread left (Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics are almost like new, one had to be replaced on the back axle after a screw punctured it, so not quite a full set)
-New clutch fitted at around 110, 000 miles
-Previous owner did some work on engine mounts and driveshafts, but this isn't documented (did see the old driveshafts though, so I know for sure they've been uprated/ replaced)
There's probably more I'm forgetting. All in all a really tidy example, not perfect but mechanically extremely strong and really nice aesthetically for a car of its age.
