1996 Eunos VR Ltd - Combination B finished in excellent mica green with black interior and black soft top
I have owned this excellent example since June 2011. It was imported from Japan in October 1998 (with documentation to prove this) and had two owners prior to me after arriving in the UK. I have all the old MOTs from import onwards. There is an extensive history file (and full history during my ownership). The car has always been garaged during my ownership and has covered only light summer miles. I had comprehensive bodywork repairs done to the sills and inner and outer arches in Sep 2015 (with photos and invoices totalling over £1200 for this) and so this is one of the few cars that genuinely isn’t rotten in those areas.
As well as regular consumables and servicing in September 2023 I had the cambelt, waterpump and radiator replaced with again over £1200 spent.
The car has just had new front brake calipers, discs and pads for the MOT (October 2024). It is sold with 12 months MOT. I love this car but I have unexpectedly lost my garage and so it sadly needs to find a new home so it doesn’t deteriorate.
The VR Limited was a late 1995 edition for the Japanese market. It was one of only 800 made in this combination and has a high specification compared to standard cars. It has the series two 1. 8 litre engine with 16-bit engine management and produces 133bhp. It has a 5-speed manual gearbox and Torsen limited slip diff with a 4. 3:1 final drive ratio. This model also comes with upgraded suspension including Bilstein shock absorbers, thicker anti-roll bars and an engine bay strut brace. There is also extra bracing around the diff/ rear underbody area.
The interior trim level is high and includes embroidered leather sports seats with headrest speakers, a Momo 4-spoke steering wheel, stainless sill plates with 'Roadster' logo, stainless door speaker covers, an aluminium gear knob and handbrake handle and a gear surround trim piece featuring the 'Eunos' logo. A Sterling aftermarket vehicle immobiliser is also fitted.
