Description
The name SL, which stands for Sport-Leicht, has been associated with Mercedes since 1954. Sportily designed Mercedes models have been offered in various generations over time—from the iconic 300 SL to the W133 (Pagoda), and then to the R107 and R129, which is the car we are discussing today. The R129 was introduced in 1989 as a two-seater convertible with a removable hardtop. It was the first Mercedes with a fully automatic hydraulic fabric roof. Of course, a coupe version was also available. Under the hood, there were not only V8 engines but also V12s, featuring four valves per cylinder. There were many technical specialties, but what is essential is that it remains a classic "iron" with its 90s atmosphere, powerful engines, and the comfort for which Mercedes cars are still appreciated today.
The offered SL from 1992, which is registered with Czech white license plates, is in very nice condition: in a classic combination of silver body paint and a black interior, where everything works. Mechanically, the car, with a mileage of 114, 172 km, has no issues. The body is also beautiful, with only visible cosmetic details that correspond to the age of the vehicle. Only regular light servicing is required. A test drive revealed a comfortable chassis and fully functional mechanics, consisting of a 5. 0-liter V8 gasoline engine and a smooth four-speed automatic transmission.
