Land Rover series 2a 109 original Safari 2. 6 straight six with overdrive great spec in Marine Blue with cream roof
Great specification Safari with the straight six engine overdrive heater and 12 seat combination
The Previous owner restored her and simply ran out of time and we have 300 photos of the restoration
There is not much to finish so quite easily finished and MOT’d by Spring for next season
We were going to finish the job off however another project is coming along that I would prefer so no swaps or PX please
This is the 2. 6 straight six engine and runs well. I suspect it needs a tune and a non-return on the fuel hose
There is a new gear knob for the overdrive and many other new parts, including carburettor, hoses and complete exhaust system
The brakes have all been rebuilt and could do with bleeding
the Safari Safari roof has been stripped on the inside and is ready for re-headlining the all important safari vents are present, two of which have been already restored two our part finished
It has been welded, the bulkhead is solid but has been repaired
The outside has been painted needs a good buff
The inside needs painting, there is a litre of the correct shade from the Paintman and four aerosol cans.
A couple of seat squabs could do with replacing with good second hand
the dash needs painting and finishing
It sits on all new tyres and presentable rims which look wider than standard.
The chassis will need a wire brush and a coat of Raptor
There's some new Land Rover mudflats to go on too
Missing items
Aluminium outer sills, rear side seat back, spare wheel, and I think wiper arms but they might be in a box
Theres loads of spares, including cylinder, heads, pop, shaft, manifold, spare panels, headlights, all important, mudflaps, dynamos, gaskets, carbs, etc.
These are commanding high prices well into the 20/ 30k bracket so we are after a quick hassle free sale with no time wasters at £7495
