R Automotive are proud to present for the first time to the market this absolutely stunning 914 2. 0L Targa "Bumblebee" Can-Am Limited Edition Package - 1 of only 500 manufactured worldwide.
Porsche created the Bumblebee to celebrate the German manufacturer's domination of the Can-Am series with its mighty turbo-charged sports-racer: the Type 917. The Bumblebee was finished in black with contrasting Summer Yellow lower sections and matching Mahle wheels. Many otherwise optional items were standard on these limited edition models, including driving lights, dual horns, a leather covered steering wheel, and a centre console with clock, voltmeter, and oil temperature gauge.
This collectors classic boasts a deep glossy uniform finish throughout following a professional bare metal rotisserie restoration recently carried out by a renowned classic Porsche, Bugatti and Ferrari restorer. Full photographic evidence can be provided upon request.
The interior is in exceptional original condition throughout with only the carpet and rubbers being replaced to freshen it up.
Having received a recent full top end rebuild including barrels, pistons, valves etc this Fuel injected 914 starts first turn of the key and is a joy to drive.
This is a matching numbers car complete with Porsche Certificate of Authenticity dated 2021 and registered on the official Can-Am register, there is not another 914 Bumblebee like this currently on the market worldwide.
Originally registered in 1974 this 914 spent its life in Sunny California before its import here to the UK in 2021. Complete with American certificate of title, all import paperwork and UK V5 registered here in 2024.
