Description
This 1953 Riley RMF Saloon 2. 5 litre is in nice condition with mainly original features. It is in the Metallic Bronze colour that was adopted by Riley towards the end of the production run. It is a well known car in RM Club circles and is an ex NEC show car. The car was purchased from the third owner in 1960 for his 21st birthday and used until 1974 when it was laid up and not used for 25 years. At this point the son of the owner restored the car and put it back on the road in 2006. The car has had 4 previous owners with the current owner purchasing the car in 2023 and regretfully needing to sell it now due to poor health. It is in very good roadworthy condition. The interior is in original red.
The car comes complete with original: tool kit, instruction book, lubrication charts, workshop manual and registration book that records its initial sale.
Any inspections are welcome. I personally bought this car because of its style, and in particular its colour. I was also a Riley owner in my youth and so the nostalgic pull was part of the reason for purchase. I have enjoyed taking the car to local club meetings where it has been much admired.
