Description

Reluctantly offered for sale as there’s other cars I would like to try & I can only have one ‘toy’ at a time!
This is a lovely looking, solid, rust free & reliable example with everything working and it’s great fun to drive. Bought in April 2021, it came with variable EPAS (Electric Power Assisted Steering), electronic ignition, spin on/ off oil filter, high torque starter motor, 4-2-1 tubular exhaust manifold (heat wrapped) & stainless sports exhaust system, Gaz adjustable rear shock absorbers, H4 halogen headlights, full tonneau cover, roller bearing strut top mounts & the 14” Revolution alloy wheels with new Falken 185. 60x14 tyres. The fuel tank had also been replaced.

The car was featured in a Hagerty classic retro-rematch with a Fiat X1-9
(Link not allowed within the ad).

This was before my steering improvements & with the wrong bonnet badge!

I installed the Safety Devices padded rollover bar and then the hood cover and tonneau were professionally modified to suit.
All suspension bushes were replaced with ‘Superflex’ poly bushes & stainless steel sleeves.
1. 5 degree increased castor front anti roll bar mounts (from Hamilton Motorsport) improved turn in and steering self centering.
Rear brakes stripped and rebuilt with uprated wheel cylinders.
Bottom ball joints replaced.
Gearbox rebuilt with new bearings and selector forks.
New A. P. clutch cover, driven plate and release bearing fitted.
Wind deflector made to fit inside the rollover bar (easily fitted/ removed). This car is a pleasure to drive briskly, with a strong engine, perfect gear change (no free play at the gear-lever), variable power steering to reduce the steering effort, standard springs for a comfortable ride and it gets a lot of positive comments wherever I take it!
The car comes with a Heritage Certificate, a large history file and a high quality semi fitted indoor cover & the clock works (but doesn’t always tell the right time).
The MOT expires on February 5th, but I would re-MOT for the buyer!
The insurance agreed value is £14, 000.
