Description

I've owned my P38 4. 6 HSE running on LPG for 2 wonderful years now.
The only reason I'm parting with it is because I now own three vehicles and don't have the space to keep it as it deserves.

The previous owner had it for 12 years, and two specialists have commented that it’s one of the best P38s they’ve seen in a while—one of the reasons I’m hesitant to sell. He cared for the car, investing in details like a wood steering wheel and trims. During his ownership, he had the car resprayed, upgraded the sound system (which includes a subwoofer in the boot and sounds fantastic), and made several enhancements such as:

- Janspeed exhaust
- Alcantara headlining
- Drilled rear brake discs
- Replaced water pump, fan belt, and guide pulleys
- Transfer box and rear diff oil change
- Heater matrix replacement
- New rocker cover gasket
- Air condenser radiator
- Front lower radius arm bushes
- New steering damper
- Front driver's CV joints
- ABS sensor

Since owning it, here’s a quick overview of the work I've done:

1. Revised the EAS system with a brand new EAS pump (£340)
2. Refurbished the steering wheel
3. Replaced the LPG reducer (£160)
4. Installed a new auxiliary belt and tensioner (£428)
5. Replaced the ABS relay (£30)
6. Repainted the external plastic trims
7. Fitted a brand new windscreen from AutoGlass (£75)
8. Installed a new Hankook MF31 battery (£100, still under warranty)
9. Fixed a stiff driver's door handle (part STC 3063)
10. Replaced the ABS pump (comes with a spare)
11. The car includes misc parts: a spare EAS pump, valve blocks, a black leather steering wheel, etc.
12. Balanced the wheels
13. Purchased 4 brand new offroading wheels (£600)
14. Comes with three spare keys
15. Replaced the water pump bearing
16. Installed a new ABS sensor

I recently drove it to Inverness and back (1, 000 miles), and it performed flawlessly.

Mechanically, the car required very little attention as it was in excellent condition when I bought it, and it remains so today. While there may be minor age-related issues, everything functions as it should.

In terms of modifications, I aimed to return it to a stock look by removing the chrome trims the previous owner had added and fitting Hurricane wheels. I've also installed privacy tints and meticulously swapped the beige interior for a sleek black one. It's been resprayed in the past, and although there were one or two electric gremlins, the car works exactly as it should. The road presence is strong with this. I cannot stress enough how this car works as intended compared to other P38s that I have seen.
