Description
This is a very lovely Ducati indeed. It started its life as a Mike Hailwood rep. In 2002 it went through a complete restoration and make over into what you see here. Maybe not for the purists but looks, sounds, and rides extremely well.
After the renovation and make over it was entered into a few classic bike competitions and i have the trophies it won. It was then purchased by a new owner who exported it to Denmark, he also won a trophy or two with it.
I purchased it from that buyer, and brought it back to the UK.
Unfortunately and regrettably i need to sell it now as i have a major building project on the go... And Its a money pit!
I have a huge file of paper work with the bike including a CD!. It has an MOT which it does'nt need really as its a historic vehicle and Footman James insurance valued it at £30K.
The work i have carried out:
Upgrades to the wiring loom, extended clutch case lever, Ducati scrambler headlight fitted.. Original is with the bike. It has a Surflex clutch so not bad on the wrist.
Lots of spares.
If you want to have a conversation or a photo taken, just take this out for a ride and park up... Its a magnet!
60, 000 on the clock but only 4, 000miles since the rebuild in 2002.
5 former Keepers. I bought this bike as a keeper, it was exactly what i was looking for. Something as beautiful as a 900SS but a little bit different. It does not disappoint on any level. Its with regret that i'm selling.
Its a unique motorcycle and absolutely beautiful not just in the pictures but in the flesh.
