A genuinely reluctant, very sad and emotional sale of ‘Gramps,’ Cherished by my family since the day it left the showroom, and ultimately inherited by me from my Grandfather.
Opening the door of ‘Gramps’ is to enter a lovely, original 1960’s time warp that has never been modified or personalised. Upon closing the door, you will be cocooned by originally upholstered seats, carpets that retain a good pile thickness and a tight unstained headlining. The original dashboard switches, steering wheel, gear-lever and historical AA-Badge, further enhance the preservation of the 1960’s patina. Whilst there is some evidence of bygone historical welding, the underside and wheel arches are regularly ‘waxoyled’ being free of corrosion with no signs of any accident damage. The ash frame was replaced c2010 since when, due to circumstances ‘Gramps’ has been dry stored whilst receiving regular attendance to preserve his excellent condition.
In September 2020 the Morris Minor Owners Club awarded ‘Gramps’ a valuation of £17, 000; since when further preventative maintenance has continued. Benefitting from a no-advisories’ MOT issued on 5 April 2024 and recently having received a full inspection and fettle including new Lockheed brake cylinders, battery, coil, condenser, plug leads, heater and by-pass hoses, wipers, ‘Gramps’ is ready to once again bring unreserved pleasure and enjoyment to a new caring home.
This is an extremely rare opportunity to own a car with such a loving history and provenance and would suit someone who has an appreciation and admiration for what is probably the perfect quintessential British classic car.
