Removed engine and gearbox to carry out work required. Part engine and gearbox to find clutch excessively worn and excessive wear on flywheel engine oil drained and timed up hydraulic chain tensioners removed and IMS housing removed to find engine has larger bearing installed fit new seal and refit sealing up. Inspect overall condition of tensioners and refit with new washers replace rear main oil seal replace flywheel and clutch with new torquing up to manufacturers spec clean off box lubricate input shaft and fit new release bearing replace oil separator as preventative maintenance remove plenum to replace noisy start motor clean up electrical connections and lubricate check all vacuum lines and actuators replace engine mounts As pulled away upon removal remove front anti-roll bar and all brackets then send away with rear and cross support struts for powder coating replace all four lower wishbone (coffins) as bushes pulled away replaced brackets and levelling struts with new as existing seized and broke. Removed all 4 tuning forks and check for play in end joint, find 3 with play replaced all 4 with new find both inner tie rods have excessive play replaced with new. Replaced both front strut top mounts as pulled away fit new bump stops. Replaced nearside front spring plate as in poor condition free of all rear adjustable eccentric suspension bolts and a lubricate. Clean up all engine area and clear wax coat to help prevent future issues. replace all spark plugs and ignition coil packs resecure heat shields, replace exhaust clamps, heat and knock out flange fittings and replace with stainless bolts then refit engine and gearbox to vehicle torquing up all mounts drive/ shafts to manufacturer specification reconnect all coolant lines fitting thermostats to assist in engine cooling replace all rear coolant pipe clips with new hose clips. Carry out same procedure at front replacing both coolant pipes from bottom of radiators as fitting excessively corroded replace All filters inspect AC system carrying out nitrogen pressure test to find front and rear pipes leaking? replaced rechecked then carried out system re-gas rechecked for leaks okay? Stripped down brakes fit new brake back plates all round replace handbrake shoes as delaminating check and lubricate handbrake lever mechanism refit discs and pads torquing brake calipers up free off all nipples and carry out brake fluid change all round, pressurise system and check for leaks okay? Clean up brake calipers and fit new decals then re lacquer bleed fluid through clutch slave cylinder rechecked to find clutch pedals still had slight resistance replaced clutch servo assistance spring with new then tested clutch pedal now light and free. Removed centre console and fit Porsche genuine short shift lever and set up check operation okay refit centre console cleaning while removed, refit all powder coated items fitting new anti- rollbar bushes. Resecure tank straps and refit rear support strut replaced prop shaft carbon Flexi as cracked broken and tightened back up. Drain gear oil and front differential replacing with new oil check round underside Recheck all levels. Carry out 4 wheel alignment Setting to manufacturers specifications. Road test vehicle checking overall drive/ handling. find vehicle drives straight and great. Noticeable different upon overall handling. Slight squeak when returned to workshop to find nearside rear ABS sensor catching ring and damaged and replaced with new and cleaned up ring on driveshaft. checked operation okay put back on lift spanner checked round and clear waxed all new components and mountains to help prevent future issues check round vehicle and fit new numberplate mount fit new bonnet struts as originals no longer suitable and fit securing bracket for battery fitted new cover fastings as originals missing strip down drivers door and lubricate door handle mechanism as not returning correctly check all lights and levels and fuel and give good road test checking all mechanical operations. Replaced cap as strap broken and seal perished fitted new trim fittings on front panel put back on lift check round and clear waxed coated all areas required vehicle in excellent condition on underside clean up connections in headlight for xenon headlight operation recheck all lights levels and tyre pressures good.
