Just arrived in part exchange, a super little Renault Megane Expression 1. 5 DCI 86 BHP Manual, finished in Ash Beige Metallic Coachwork with Black Cloth Upholstery. This car is a little gem for somebody, supplied originally by Renault just over the border in Lowestoft and has spent its life between Suffolk and Norfolk thereafter. Supplied to our customer in September 2017 by the very well respected car dealership, Rossiters, formally a few yards away from our sales office. Lady owned for the last 7 years and only part exchanged with us due to wanting something different, and why not.
Incredibly cheap to run, insure and TAX. £35 a year TAX, 63 MPG combined fuel economy, capable of returning nearly 850 miles from one tank!. Insurance group 12 out of 50 (50 being the highest cost group). The Megane is very clean & tidy commensurate with age & mileage, with no rust or unsightly dents or scratches. The car is 15 years old and therefore is not showroom A1 grade, so please be realistic. It is however in lovely condition inside & out, and drives superbly.
The car drives superbly with no knocks or noises from the suspension, drive train, brakes or steering, all are very responsive and as they should be. The engine starts straight away on the first turn of the key, with no problems, smoke or rattles. The gearbox is nice and precise with a decent midway biting point on the clutch. Brand new MOT already carried out with no advisories, supplied serviced with a new cambelt & waterpump, as per manufacturer guidelines. The cambelt, waterpump and AUX belt were last replaced in September 2017. Stamped service book at 7. 1K, 10. 9K, 13. 1K, 16. 7K, 19. 3K, 21. 8K, 23. 4K, 47. 8K, and our full engine service including cambelt & waterpump, and stringent pre delivery inspection (PDI) at 95. 6K. The car has also been serviced outside of these stamps in the book, but unfortunately not recorded. We have carried out an Air Conditioning service and as such the AC system is lovely and cold.
