The Padget Gadget.
This is the actual body that Alan Padget built and is a very well known BDC entity.
It has a very well made and incredibly light aircraft standard, aluminium handbuilt body of the finest order. It weighs very little and took several years to design and build.
And many more years of R&D to create the final work of art that it is!
Made using Aircraft, Ultralite and very strong aluminium, it simply is bolted/ fitted to a superb space frame chassis, made to be fitted to the Mark6 or R Type chassis.
To recreate it, I was quoted around £60k plus......
That's not from scratch but from simply copying the existing body.
Perfect for the road or race track and being this light, it will be extremely fast which is why Alan created it ofcourse.
It is also very well known in the BDC circles, especially the racing circles but to create this would cost, from plans around £60/£80k.
This alone makes the price im asking, VERY much a financial bargain, not to mention the BDC race/ ownership history or the time using this body on a Bentley chassis would save you in the build stage/ cost.
I am open to sensible offers but please realise, this a valuable Bentley historical piece of history.
And the huge savings using this instead of either building or creating a car body yourself.
Let alone the amount of time involved, maybe a year plus to create whilst enabling you to either buy a chassis (I have one for sale, not listed yet) or have another body built, costs below;

The Chassis is very sound, unmolested and original.
The Bentley V8 Engine is complete and was chosen for its minimal miles, quality and condition.
The Ash Body is also genuine and in great order.
The metal panels (Wings, Bonnet, parts etc...) are also in good order for use in the design of your own body of choice.

And with this collection of original, genuine Bentley pieces and parts, this version will see around £80/ 120, 000 in value.
More importantly, these projects of genuine Bentley content will provide the buyer an opportunity to design and build their own car.
Without spending a huge amount or time and a small fortune in obtaining (proven parts and contents).
