Description
Original car from Great Britain,
one of the first, inline six-cylinder 4. 0 liter and automatic transmission.
The original color was green.
A running project.
The model called DBS 6 (and later V8) was produced by Aston Martin Lagonda Limited between 1967 and 1972. The first models with a six-cylinder engine of 3995 cm³ and DOHC configuration delivered 284 horsepower at 4500 RPM and 390 Nm of torque, with a total weight of 1588 kg. It aimed to be a significantly more modern successor to the DB6 model and was also much larger.
The offered car comes with many documents, receipts, and Aston Martin certification, which states that the car was sold new directly from the factory to a British address. Its "birth certificate" has the date November 5, 1970. We only know bits of its further history, but it’s clear that the car was repainted from its original elegant green to an ivory color. The vehicle is essentially a project, which can be seen in the details of the photos. The body has some rust in places, and the gearbox (a three-speed automatic Borg Warner BW 8 in this case) doesn’t shift perfectly. There are also flaws in the interior. However, the inline six-cylinder engine with SU carburetors has been serviced, so it runs smoothly now, which we have, of course, tested. A project for the more demanding enthusiast, but at favorable conditions.
