Description
Early rare Swedish built car in cream with red interior. After the first 6000 P1800 cars built by Jensen in the UK the next 2000 cars were built in Sweden (P1800S) using Jensen interiors and a lot of other parts. They are rare and this one is chassis number 6796, engine number 813, built on June 10th 1963 and shipped to Hong Kong for first owner. Brought into the the UK in 1969 hence the G plate registration shown, now registered KFZ 288.
Bought by myself in 2021 over from France as an unfinished restoration.
Body, engine and most of the running gear was completely rebuilt by the seller up to 2020 and due to illness the project stalled. Restoration finished by 1800 specialist during 2023 with new interior (red leather seats, pile carpets with overmats by Richard Felton) all brightwork rechromed. Drives very well with new SU carbs and electronic ignition.
Comes with Jensen trims or original red centre caps at reduced price.
£39500. Well below restoration costs, part exchange considered with a project 1800.
