Description
Fitted with high-compression EdelBrook cylinder heads, an uprated carburettor and an Edelbrook intake manifold. Full-length, twin stainless steel exhausts and stainless steel headers help ease the flow of exhaust gases.
The old three-speed automatic gearbox has been junked in favour of a four-speed unit, which helps performance and fuel economy.
The engine was rebuilt in 2008, with new pistons, bearings and an oil pump, along with a new, upgraded air-conditioning compressor, and a water pump.
New brake servos and a master cylinder were fitted in 2010, front brake flexible hoses and metal pipes in 2012, upgraded alternator in 2016.
Rear metal brake pipes, and a new engine oil cooler in 2017 along with upgraded oil coolers.
The leather interior is reasonable with only 1 known small cut in 1 of the rear headrests, wood dash is in nice condition with a couple of very small areas of damage.
When I bought the car in 2019 the worst part of the car was the headlining - so this has been replaced but still needs tucked in to the front screen - new rubbers for front and rear screens are included as are new rubbers for the side windows.

The car is lovely and usable with the engine starting easily and cruises nicely on the motorway, the bodywork and paint is presentable as is the interior.
Prior to the listing I have replaced plugs and air/ fuel filters and oil and filters are included in the sale.
I purchased the car via 'The Market' online auction site - the company is now carsonline Bonhams and if you search for Bristol 603 you will see their full write up on the car along with many more photos. The car has been garaged since being purchased so other than the headlining is very much in the condition they describe.
