I have had this AJS since 1st June 2023 and have only done 100 miles in short runs. It starts very easily and apart from fitting a new front inner tube no problems, until now! The kickstarter would not retract after starting. I deduced a broken return spring and removed the outer casing of the gearbox, Nothing was broken but a possible
disengagement of the return spring. However for the life of me I could not get the outer casing fully home. A trifling job for a motorcycle mechanic or one who knows what he is doing.....
