Presented in fashionable Mineral Blue, the paintwork on this car is very good indeed. The freshly-trimmed black interior with white piping is also in exceptional order, with correct 18” three-spoke steering wheel of the period, and further benefiting from having had the dashboard and fascia replaced too.

Mechanically, whilst not dissimilar to the powerplant in the significantly more expensive Austin-Helaey 3000, there are actually only subtle differences to the ‘C’s’ 3-Litre engine, notwithstanding, the ‘C’ still celebrates a claimed 0-60 time in a shade under ten seconds, and the driving experience is spirited enough thanks to a sensibly refurbished engine. It holds great oil pressure, rises through the rev range quite happily and cruises at modern traffic speeds with overdrive engaged very happily. Also refurbished was the clutch and brake master cylinder, whilst the clutch slave cylinder, overdrive, petrol tank and both 6volt batteries were recently replaced.

In the cabin there is an FM converted modern stereo with a period look and it also has a lead to connect your phone.

The new replacement value of the wheels alone amount to £1, 950. 00. New in 2020.

Recent expenditure in 2022 – New front suspension and exhaust by MG Motorsport - £4, 320

Sold previously in 2019 by Manor Classic Cars for £20, 500. 00.

Huge history file, with thousands spent over the years, confirmed by countless invoices dating back to 1990.

This really is a smart and well-executed MGC GT with a host of past invoices, receipts for work that has been undertaken, Heritage Certificate and previous MOT’s. Wanting for nothing but an enthusiastic new owner, this car is ready to drive away today….
